Colonial Insurance Associates The Medicare Experts

Medicare can only do so much. For more comprehensive coverage, a Medicare Advantage Plan (Plan C) is required. You can only get this from a private company, such as Colonial Insurance Associates.

We offer Medicare supplemental insurance that covers visits to the doctor and hospitals, prescription medication, co-payments, and more. Unlike with other insurance providers, your monthly premium with us should be enough to supplement your Medicare Advantage Plan.

What Part A Covers

Please note that if you are covered by a Medicare Advantage Plan, you may have to follow different regulations. Typically, however, Part A covers the following:

  • Inpatient Care (Hospital Admission)
  • Skilled Nursing Facility Care (Not Including Custodial and Long-Term Care)
  • Hospice Care
  • Home Health Care

What Part B Covers

As with Part A, Part B coverage might have different rules if you are under a Medicare Advantage Plan. Generally, Part B covers two types of services. These are:

  • Medical Necessities
  • Preventive Services

What Part A and B Do Not Cover

Medicare Part A and B only cover the services that we previously mentioned. Even if you have a plan that covers a particular item, you still might have to pay a deductible, coinsurance, or co-payment, depending on the terms of your coverage. The following are not covered by Medicare:

  • Long-Term or Custodial Care
  • Most Dental Care
  • Eye Exams for Glasses Prescriptions
  • Dentures
  • Cosmetic Surgery
  • Acupuncture
  • Hearing Aids and Fitting Exams
  • Routine Foot Care
